Curriculum

At Moorside, our aim in Design and Technology is to develop the creative, technical and practical expertise needed to perform everyday tasks confidently, as well as enabling students to participate successfully in an increasingly technological world. We encourage our students to build and apply a repertoire of knowledge, understanding, and skills in order to design and make high-quality prototypes and products for a wide range of users. To achieve this, they need to critique, evaluate, and test their ideas and products, as well as the work of others.

In the field of Food and Nutrition, we offer our students the opportunity to understand and apply the principles of nutrition and learn how to cook.

Our students follow a carousel of subjects where they discover a breadth of knowledge, spending ten weeks in the following areas: – Product Design, Textiles and Food and Nutrition.
