MJ | STEM Days
In March 26 year 9 pupils took part in a STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths) day at Keele University with #skillsupply. They participated in team activities using a Sphero. This is an amazing robot, that can be coded, driven or made to follow a drawn pattern. Then they had to Engineer a chariot for it to pull around a track and race other teams.
This year also saw the return of our KS3 STEM fair, for which pupils completed independent research projects in a chosen topic and presented them to their classes. The variety and quality of the projects was fantastic, and it was a delight to see pupils conquering their nerves to share their hard work.
