Governors

Moorside High School’s purpose is to advance, for the public benefit, the education of its pupils through the strategic development of the academy and by offering a broad and balanced curriculum.

The main responsibilities of the governing body are to:

• Ensure the quality of educational provision
• Challenge and monitor the performance of the school
• Manage the school’s finances and property
• Employ staff

The governing body is comprised of:

• Headteacher
• Local Authority Governor
• Parent Governors
• Staff Governors
• Co-opted Governors

The governing body includes the following governors, see below.  Our governing body selection process is staff elect staff and parents elect parents.
